The Election Progress

For the past two weeks, all of this country has been exposed to the DNC and the RNC conventions. It is fair to compare them to the messages they are trying to send to the electorate.

Comparing the two conventions, the DNC attempts at convincing me failed dramatically. Not because I am a conservative, not at all, but because I am open to ideas. It failed because it was “plain vanilla” and the tired old political speak you get from both parties. It was uninspiring and drab as each presenter droned on with one subject, “Let me tell how much we hate the President.” Not one thing was constructive in their presentation. The RNC was opposite.

As a person who spent a career listening to people, I am keenly aware of what people intentionally leave out of their utterances. It’s important to listen. Not once, did any Democratic speaker, Democrat or turncoat Republican condemn the ongoing violence of the last several months in Portland, OR, Minneapolis, MN, Seattle, WA, Kenosha, WI, Chicago, IL, Washington D.C. or any other city that has been put to the torch by ANTIFA or BLM, the surrogates of the far-left socialist Democratic Party. Their silence was deafening. Anytime the speech approached anything of substance, it was lined with rhetoric about the President is wrong on everything. They were going to correct all the wrongs he allegedly caused by raising our taxes, establishing a medical care system that makes all America subject to it dictates, and all illegal aliens will get free health care and free education at the expense of the rest of the citizens of this country.

Biden and Harris are a ticket for disaster for this country. Biden is weak and totally out of step with the American worker. His career of some 48 years in Congress is a remarkable failure once one is able to review his record, and you are honest with what you see. The question looms large, “If he failed for his entire career, what is he going to be able to accomplish now at the end of his career and life?” I suggest not much. Most likely, he will reinvigorate China by moving jobs and industry out of America to China in a move to appease the Chinese Communist Government. This act alone will plunge this country into a deep dark hole of recession. Also, your savings and 401k will take a resounding hit, and whatever advantages you accumulated during the last four years under President Trump will disappear. These comments are not scaring tactics. It is common sense based on well-established records of both candidates for President. Is it worth the risk?

Biden’s running mate, Harris, is a flat out racist socialist and supports ANTIFA and BLM without reservation. There is a legitimate question about her eligibility to hold the office of Vice President and President in waiting. If she was born of parents, not a United States citizen at the time of her birth, how can she be eligible under the Constitution for these high offices? A legal question that needs a firm answer. The media is hyping her as an African American, when, in fact, she is a person with parents from Jamaica and India. A person of color, no doubt. African American, I seriously have my doubts. Besides, as I have written before, this pigeon-holing people based on skin color is an absurd Democratic narrative. You are an American citizen, or you are not an American citizen. Nothing further needs to be added to your description.

Harris is not suitable for our country. Biden is old and feeble, suffering from the onset of dementia. I have often wondered why they keep him hidden in the basement of his house. I suspect they are feeding him Prevagen, an over the counter brain food to combat dementia. At least that is the product’s claim. However, it takes 30 to 90 days to work to any degree, and stomach acid destroys most of the product before it has any impact on an individual. It is just a theory. The reason Harris is terrible for our country is because of her strong socialist beliefs and her unabashed desire for power. She is very willing to do anything. Look at her track record in California and her relationships when Harris thought it would work to her advantage, i.e., Willie Brown. Today, she is quick to change her views on any subject, depending on her audience. She started off calling Biden a racist, and now magically, he is not. Why? Because she was selected for the V.P. position. Funny how that works. Also, I can not forget what she did to Justice Kavanaugh, but when it comes to such claims against Biden, they are now dismissed. Harris also is an aggressive supporter of abortions, no matter the circumstances or length of pregnancy. That makes her a murderess of defenseless children, in my opinion.

If Biden is elected and fails to complete his first term, Harris will be President. Does anyone not think that is in the mix of ideas and tactics.

The RNC convention right from the start has shown substance. The media is trying desperately to find flaws in any presentation. The media critics have gone so far as attacking a brave young man 18-year-old because he won a lawsuit against the media and stood for what he believes in. Then one of the media mouthpieces found working in the White House pool of reporters publicly attacks a paraplegic who, during his speech, forced himself with the help of a walker to stand for the flag of the United States. She called him a white supremacist and nonsupporter of BLM, and his standing was to make fun of the athletes who take a knee for the National Anthem. The facts are nothing of the kind nor was it in his speech. He stood as a patriot.

I listened carefully to what was being said in both conventions, as hard as that was in some instances, and one of the striking comparisons I can make is the RNC condemning the violence in the cities I mentioned and supporting law and order. Their message was strong and unified. The DNC did not make such comments because they support the violence believing it helps them politically at the expense of innocent citizens. Of course, they did polls and quickly discovered that Independent voters were significantly swayed by the RNC comments and were moving powerfully in support of the GOP. Now Biden is coming out making comments against the violent protesters because the polls are against them for their lack of taking a stand against violence. This catchup game is biting them in the butt. What this tells me, is the DNC and the media are scared that this RNC convention is resonating with the American public.

The RNC is tapping into the values of the American people. They are highly effective at highlighting how they have been improving the lives of minorities and elevating them through job growth and improved income. The DNC has a 70-year record of failure in this realm. Minorities were no better off after 70 years until President Trump made significant changes that boosted their standard of living, recognized them for independent thinkers, and started a reform process for the many minorities incarcerated in our judicial system. The actions of President Trump were no small action. He has been assailed relentlessly since he was elected, and despite his adversaries, he has accomplished many things that impact all of us. I believe he will continue to do so. The COVID-19 put a significant slowdown in our country’s progress, and the Democratic Party took full advantage of the Chinese Virus to disrupt anything and everything they can to win an election. It is not working. Even Hillary Clinton’s insane comments about Biden not caving into the election results no matter what, are clear signs the DNC and all Biden supporters will lose this election. They are flat out scared.

Henry, I pray every night that President Trump will be re-elected in November. I cannot imagine an independent voter even considering Joe Biden and his crew. We have been there before for 8 years and lost so much respect in the world because of Obama going around and apologizing to the world. We know who the greatest nation on earth is and also the most generous when it comes to supporting countries in dire need. We are always there for them! I don’t care how I have to vote but I will no matter what is happening. I want to go in person because I’m fearing mail in ballots from red counties will be deliberately lost! This bothers me a great deal! I don’t care if I have to wait in line for hours!

Excellent commentary that speaks for so many of us and our thoughts. We are very concerned about the outcome of this election but prayer is very powerful and one thing our President is not lacking, are the prayers everyday that surround him. We must stay strong and know in our hearts God is with the people. Prayer is the power.

I completely agree with all Henry said. This Independent is voting for Trump, AGAIN. The DNC was sickening. I watched most as well.

  4. Very well put, Henry. I agree with it all. It scares the hell out of me to think Biden/Harris could win the election! I believe it would put an end to the glorious revolution that started in 1776 and hasn’t ended. It would plunge us into a state of tyranny and Marxism. Pray that the American people can see through to mist of Leftist lies and re-elect Trump-Pense.

After watching both conventions and arriving at the conclusion the RNC soundly defeated the Democrats on every front, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your take on these events. You hit it on the head, and I agree with another reader’s comment that prayer is powerful. I believe there are millions of Americans praying for President Trump to be elected, including both members of our household! To God be the glory great things He has done and will continue to do.

I will come from the opposite point of view. The RNC and DNC are nothing more than propaganda and marketing machines for each of their respective viewpoints on what is right and wrong. I see everyday what is happening in this country under the leadership, or lack thereof, of our current President. The economy is in it’s worst state since the great depression, the unemployment rate exceeding that of the financial crisis in 2008, 180k people perished because of no leadership from the White House, the increase hatred and violence in this country and friendships being ripped apart as a result of social media and misguided information pipelines.

Let’s take the stock market, which has nothing to do with the economy. It’s on a tear because the big tech companies are breaking financial records due to people have a dependency on getting their media, entertainment and doing their job over the Internet. Step outside and look around at the number of small businesses that have closed, the number of people dependent on food lines for their basic meals and water, those that can’t pay their rent and the complete breakdown of the government to provide needed stimulus because of bipartisan bickering. These people can’t invest in the stock market or never had enough money to because they have consumed what little savings they have for day to day expenses. There should be no question that the government help our citizens. With the major tax act helping large businesses and the rich, equal money should go back into those less fortunate. It’s sickening.

Now Covid-19. Sure, the POTUS didn’t cause the outbreak but he sure as hell had every opportunity to unify the countries response, ensure our healthcare workers were protected, and contain the outbreak just like Europe and Asia did. Hell, American’s can’t even travel abroad because of what’s happened. Instead, Trump pushes off the responsibility to the States to fight for PPE, what is appropriate for lock downs without any federal guidance or support and worst of all, tells the American people that it’s OK to take non-tested, scientifically proven and sometimes deadly methods to either prevent or cure this disease. He dismantled the pandemic office, told the American people it was under control, and completely missed the latency of when a virus infects people to the results of people’s deaths. Even today, there are ongoing gatherings without masks in college campuses and even Sturgis. Sure our death rate per capita is 10th in the world but we’re not keeping score and this isn’t a competition. It’s people’s lives we’re dealing with. Instead of showing leadership and enforcing guidelines that must be followed for the better of all of us, he’s letting it go by the waste side waiting on a vaccine as the end-all. Meanwhile, people are dying.

And finally the violence. He says that he’s the one that will be enforcing law and order. What a joke. It’s under his watch that the violence has gotten to where it is today. Any action he takes to enforce a police state with federal police will be met with even more violence and protests. He needs to get leaders together and figure out how to put together a plan for all Americans. Any leader knows this. Trump is dictating what he thinks is right and wrong, just like he’s done on many of the executive actions he’s take. That’s not a democracy.

So, Trump will not be getting my vote and as Pat says, prayer is power. I pray that Biden is our next President. America will be in a better place without Trump.

“I will come from the opposite point of view. The RNC and DNC are nothing more than propaganda and marketing machines for each of their respective viewpoints on what is right and wrong.” I have no disagreement with that point of view. However, the current employment and lack of jobs and businesses that have failed are a direct result of the China Virus and not anything to do with this administration’s policy. The shutdown created this current issue.

Complaining about a President handling an unprecedented pandemic when no one knew how to handle the problem, gave some initial bad advice that conflicted and is still conflicting is a disingenuous description of the events. Just today, the head of the medical teams in Arizona were exposed for falsifying the death rates of patients concerning COVID-19, calling the deaths directly related to the virus when in fact they were due to other causes. This was done for political reasons to inflate the numbers by an anti-Trumper.

I recall clearly the conflicting information by the so-called experts. Masks are no good, masks are good, social distancing is necessary, social distancing may not matter because the virus spreads on contact only. It goes on and on. I blame the incoherent medical profession for giving everyone the wrong information. There has been a conflicting assortment of opinions that do not make sense. Peoples lives are at risk and medical professionals and providing no valuable direction or guidance.

The violence in this country is happening in Democrat controlled cities and States. You are not seeing this in the so-called Red States. Trump has not committed violence and has on a daily basis if he can send in National Guard to stop the violence. Under our laws, he can not just send in the resources to put down BLM and ANTIFA without the concurrence of the Governors of the States involved. These Democratic controlled centers have lost control and will not ask for Federal help, so they burn. Then blame Trump for the violence they encourage. Biden is weak. Biden is a liar. Biden will not be the next President, Trump will be reelected.
