“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”

I did not write the following, but I find it very compelling and worth passing on to all—this script, written by someone in the community who does not wish to be identified. I start with a quote from our third President of the United States. I made grammatical corrections to the text without changing its meaning, there were a few. This person’s writings reflect most of mine so far on this blog.
“All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”
-Thomas Jefferson, Third President of the United States

“Pondering the 2020 election and the current American culture- On the Fourth of July!! The 2020 Election marks the first time an American Presidential election can topple our form of government. The USA was founded on the principles that government should be minimal, that it should provide a level of security that enables its citizen’s certain basic freedoms, among others, the freedom of speech and religious freedom. It is the only nation on earth where its people own the government. In a matter of days, voters are facing two choices: one that allows America to continue its own, unique form of government, the Constitutional Republic under the Republican party; the other is antithetical to American tradition, an imported Marxist ideology, deceptively labeled Progressivism under a hijacked and corrupted Democrat Party.

Socialist revolutions have overtaken countries around the globe resulting in oppression and totalitarianism, which is as old as man. One merely needs to look at China, Russia, Venezuela, and Cuba and many more to understand the brutal and un-American nature of Progressive Socialism.

The American Constitutional form of government is traditionally faith-based and assumes a certain moral code and set of values and principles. Marxism is secular, having excised religion and faith from its ideology. Neither Marxism nor Progressive Socialism is a Judaic Christian value. For example, Islam believes one must not lie to fellow believers but condones lying to nonbelievers to execute Allah’s commands. Marxism is much like that. It also tolerates lying to reach one’s political goals, which we see day in and day out from Progressive Socialists and their complicit mainstream media. It is shocking how American politics have turned into an uncivil blood sport with the most audacious, aggressive, corrupt tactics employed.

There is an increasingly violent and desperate movement to topple our government and seize power. Its proponents have been undermining our most basic institutions designed to protect the Republic – the military, the intelligence agencies, the judicial department, the IRS, educational institutions, and the law enforcement agencies, not to mention the corrupt, complicit, and deceitful media. And now a Marxist maxim is playing out, dedicated to destroying traditional loyalties (to the family, for instance), but to wipe away and rewrite our national history. That is a step toward globalism that eliminates what defines our uniqueness and identity.

We hear blatant lie after lie utilizing a Statist media indoctrinating a people who have become armchair consumers of information. Fake News & false narratives disseminated all day long, turning truths upside down and implanting lies made from whole cloth. (The deliberate lies in many anti-Trump and anti-Conservative candidates’ commercials are disgusting and outrageous.) A blatant example was the ridiculously false claim by Obama that his Administration was without scandal. Another is the Democrat party’s illegal use of US intelligence resources to spy on President Trump before and after he took office and to make false accusations against him to sway public opinion. (Indictments are on the horizon.) Benghazi and the weaponization of the IRS to punish and defeat opponents are just a few more examples.

Taking much for granted, busy people have forgotten they have a responsibility to hold their government accountable are easy targets for indoctrination. Never have marketing techniques been so sophisticated & the technology so able to deliver coordinated messaging that can sway a whole population. (Perhaps the first example is when the Kennedy’s hired marketers to determine what the American public wanted in a candidate & then packaged Jack Kennedy to fit the profile, despite the variance between the real & imagined. Maybe apropos that his “legacy” was Camelot, utter fiction.)

Look at how overnight the entire American public, men & women (Islam subjugates only its women), was manipulated into wearing face masks due to the so-called COVID Pandemic. Despite the lack of evidence of efficaciousness, given that just one of several factors of concern, that eyes, which are mucous membranes, remain exposed. This public order based on extremely faulty data & false assumptions provided by people that have huge conflicts of interest – officials of NIH, WHO & more.

But the big, big difference in this election is that we do not have a media or any institutional voice that will speak for the people. Americans have developed a propensity for thinking that there is a “they” that will take care of our public life. They will …, but we will not like that outcome. Choosing to remain silent, comfortable, and not engaged in the political process, trusting others to be the diligent watchdogs for justice and truth has become dangerous. Our political life and issues of governance are not spectator sport or entertainment. The reality that information regarding the former and entertainment often delivered by the same medium, the media, may create that impression. That is a shame! That is pathetic! Literally!

Our form of government depends upon each citizen engagement. It is our responsibility to think critically and act because it determines how we get to live our lives. Those who decide to sit on the sidelines expecting others to do the heavy lifting may, at times, have good reason to do so. But in 2020, this is the most dangerous choice. Do not assume that others will protect your interests. Whatever entitlements you expect or enjoy, like a safe home or community, are at risk. For the first time in your life, you need to protect your basic rights.

When public debate centers around defunding police, marauders toppling National landmarks, private property seized, and destroyed, silence is not the answer. There are no entitlements, and we may be facing unimagined change if we do not stand up. We have established due process for affecting positive change. We all need to be actively engaged in this historic moment.

Elections have consequences, and, in our lifetime, this election may have more than ever before. At risk is our Republic. While insurrectionists want us to be silent, this is the time for our citizens to be heard loudly. We can be heard by participating directly in elections, supporting campaigns (volunteering and funding), and personally participating in public decision making. But first, there is a responsibility to be well informed to make responsible decisions. Each of us needs to exercise vigorously, our political muscle – at the very least, our voice.

We should know by now what sources of information and who can be trusted to speak truth based on facts. It is hard to believe at this late date, after many years, now, of this public ideological debate, there are the equivocators who claim they must listen to everybody – each “side”! Why? There are just two options in this election. Everything else, every issue will be processed by way of the system of government chosen government by the People, of the People and for the People or an ever-growing Neo Marxist Socialistic government, which invariably becomes totalitarian.” Author Unknown

Just touching the high points here as the facets of this issue are near infinite. President Trump is an aberration in that he is not of the “swamp”. Individuals in both parties were comfortable with the swamp. Now we have Dems and libs who have resisted Trump’s every move. We have RINOs and Republicans that are never Trumpers who have no interest in resisting liberal peers or actions. We have Republicans who are swamp rats and are comfortable with their personal position power within the establishment. They don’t want change.

IMO, Conservatives lost this contest years ago when we gave our educational system to the liberals and socialists without a fight. The default education is socialism and one must be independent and a “thinker” to adopt conservative principals after that extensive indoctrination.

Democrats in leadership and congress are pushing the envelope on numerous fronts with very little push back from Republican peers. Dems are goal oriented, Republican are not. A conservative president appoints a conservative Supreme Court judge and the judge often votes with liberal judges on many occasions while the liberal judges vote as a block. Liberals department leaders break the law and are not held accountable. Liberal constituents resort to violence to push their agenda, are organized and are not held accountable. Conservative constituents are silent and unorganized. Liberal judges are making law, not just interpreting the law with no reigning in by the Judicial Branch. Much of Trump’s resistance is from liberal judges who operate outside their mandate as judges. One liberal judge operating independently has held up national programs and edicts on many occasions. How and why can judges be liberal or conservative? Why aren’t they impartial? Shouldn’t they be, by definition?

Even if Mr Trump wins in November, we are still losing this war for we lost the younger generation and, it appears, we have lost the will and means to fight. I’m 75 and glad I am cuz maybe we can hold off long enough for me not to see the country and capitalism collapse, but I doubt that our country can survive that long without a violent revolution by the people. Our country’s leadership from both parties have failed us and the citizenry has not held them accountable.

Are the conservatives willing to shed blood to protect their culture or are they part of the “swamp” also. We will see cuz the day of reckoning will soon be at hand.

I left out one critical facet. News media. Conservatives and the country have lost the media. No longer is the media neutral in investigating and reporting the truth. Journalism schools must be teaching, “the end justifies the means”, as we have no journalistic standards today. Covering selected stories while not covering others, embellishing stories, not fact checking, publishing outright lies, writers who claim they are reporters writing opinion pieces without disclosure, whole newsrooms without objective standards and that are solely agenda driven are the norm. I could go on. The result is a voter who is ignorant, who is emotionally driven and who has had their brains sucked out by NPR, CNN, MSNBC and others. Who can no longer think objectively for themselves. How can this voter make good decisions and vote in their own self interest when they have never heard objective truth? They can’t and the country is diminished.

We now have several members of the House of Representatives calling for a total dismantling of our current economic and justice system to reform our country. Their biggest claim, of course is that we are a racist society. Nothing could be further from the truth, our country does not have systemic racism. In fact, every entity I have worked for for the past 55 years went out of their way to ensure fair and impartial treatment of all employees in all situations. People need to seriously wake up and recognize what is happening. Social Marxist Democrats are attempting to overthrow our country by encouraging people to feel guilty over the past of our forefathers. That is total BS and anyone that falls for it is beyond ignorant. This election is pivotal, make no mistake about it. We are literally in the fight for our lives. What our country will look like after November 3, 2020 is in our hands. Step up and be heard no matter which town square you choose to speak, your voice is more important now then it has been since our country was established as a free Republic, a Constitutional Republic where are rights are given by God, not man. Allowing these socialist democrats to turn our country on its head is unthinkable. If that happens, you will suffer in a way that most countries suffered by being asleep.

First, I do agree with the initial posting and Mr. Brown’s responses as well. My response will touch on another aspect. For literally decades, those of extreme wealth, often called Plutocrats, are the proponents of globalization. Stated another way: one world order. One world order, in which only the wealthy control everything, while the poorest of the human race are relegated to what may be described as “worker bees”.
Worker bees perform all necessary tasks, for which they are paid a stipend by the plutocrats running our governments, perhaps all governments, if their ultimate goal of only one world government is achieved.
America was founded primarily due to the tyrannical dictates of King George III and the Archbishop of Canterbury, in England. Only a handful of immigrants fleeing such government rule were able to successfully establish our country. Our Constitution and the first ten amendments thereto, were designed to prohibit total government control. Unfortunately, our schools have participated for the last two decades in essentially rewriting history, and indoctrinating students, most of whom can’t even tell you when America was founded. They don’t know what the Fourth of July signifies.
Finally, while there are some who are willing to fight to preserve America, I fear that the vast majority will remain nothing more than controlled sheep, complacently obeying every order. If I may quote Patrick Henry “Give me liberty or give me death”.

I totally agree with all the above statements and comments. I have never been so fearful for our grandchildren and great grandchildren. They will be really angry at all of us for allowing this to happen on our watch.
I appreciate Henry for starting the dialect. BUT, this is truly only the stepping off point. WE all have our own areas of influence. We all need to step it up and be a voice! We need to give our friends and family time to start processing more of this , that it is their and our responsibility to make this nightmare end on November 3rd. At least for 4 more years. Waiting for someone else to fix this is come and gone. This is why they hate Trump so bad. He is the only thing between US and them.

They have come out of the alleys and the dark shadows. This is the Underground of the 60’s refined !
They say things that at first shock people but within a couple of weeks you see people become accustomed to what could be the new norm.
I am sad that the black people don’t see that they are being used by the BLM.
I have been chatting with people on FB because I do think we need to have the dialect going.
One young lady told me she went to a charter school in Chicago I had never heard of. It is called the “Betty Shabazz International Charter School”. Oh, by the way, Betty is the widow of Malcolm X !! The girl I was chatting with said she was only taught the Black National Anthem ! ~~ “Lift Every Voice”.

She said she started going to a public school in the 6th grade and that is when she first heard Our Country’s National Anthem!

I hope you all don’t mind I am going to put together pieces of all the comments on this subject. I am going to try and reach as many people as I can to really listen, get a visual of what is at stake and the only way to keep our Republic. May God Bless America and lift the veils off people so they can see the Light.

Clearly this blog was started by some kind of right wing radical! Anything posted on this site should be considered suspect 🙂
Anyone named Henry is probably one of “those people” anyway!

Looks like a button was pushed on Mark M. Maybe next time he will be able to explain himself in an intelligent thoughtful way instead of making his comments into a juvenile belch. Or maybe he suffers from a sarcastic sense of humor.

Well-spoken and written Henry. I am willing to fight for our country I have seen what the so call left has to offer which is nothing. I have seen the riots and demonstrations upon returning from VietNam being spat upon and called a baby killer.

I love my country, raised in New York City,(home of the Worthless Democrats) we are back in time the young students have become drunken on the Anti-American toxic beverage as it occurred fifty years ago.

Welcome to the age of the New Vandals whom wish to destroy everything for the joy of destruction.

The Democrats are focus on power wealth and don’t give a damn for anyone else. They the Rats erected statues to the Confederates, enacted Jim Crow Law laws and segregation laws. They are trying to blame all the hard-working white and other groups for everything. Where is my White privilege? Where can I get it? It is time for Americans to raise up and destroy the elites group and run them out of town. Gather all of them and place them on a very slow boat to China and sink it.

  7. Ed Sullivan

Mark M certainly is a very liberal minded individual to initiate his comment as he did. Unlike you, I have personally known Henry for the majority of my life and your initial assessment of him being a “right wing radical” could not be any further from fact. The only characterization I could come up with to describe this man would be Universalist Libertarian.

I strongly suspect that your smear of the blog comes from the fact that it damns the socialist dumb-ass democrat establishment. Has the communist indoctrination damaged your cortex enough that you no longer can understand truth?

  8. Russell Sudder

I forgot to add this talk of white guilt it is time for Black to acknowledge that it was other Blacks who enslave them, sold them to the Arabs who sold to them to the Europeans, It time to have so-called Africans to pay up and the Arabs to do so, a people can not cry for justice, received it, and denied it to others there isn’t any justice to the poor hard-working whites who see the government cater to one particular group and not to them. I am proud to be an American European. It’s time to stand up and fight.

  9. Carl A Goldberg

In response to Ron, IMO it is not that we conservatives gave up our educational system to the socialists without a fight. Conservatives tend to go into business. If they go for higher education, they tend to become scientists, engineers and such but not teachers or journalists or social workers who have a social agenda and want to impose that agenda on young people and society. This natural selection has proved to be our undoing because we have lost most of the younger generation to the agenda-driven social activists.

On another point, Ron mentions the shedding of blood. I don’t think so. Whose blood? Whom do we shoot? The fact is that we are in a culture war and ideological war where there are no armies facing one another. It is a matter of controlling the cultural and political institutions, and that is accomplished through subversion, not violence. There is no one to shoot when the schools and universities churn out masses of young people who despise our country which has given them and their parents everything they have. There is no one to shoot when the left-wingers control our informational space (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and use that power to censor conservative speech.

The long Marxist march through the institutions began in the sixties. Their takeover of our cultural and political institutions has now been pretty well accomplished. If you want to know more about how this was done, you might take a look at the 1984 interview with Soviet defector and former KGB propagandist, Yuri Bezmenov: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfNMBzM-gLI

It may well be that, after the leftists, under the guidance of the Democrats and the pusillanimous inaction of the Republicans, bring down our system, the Moslems are waiting in the wings, organized and determined to impose their own totalitarian and imperialist ideology.

The future does not look good. It is entirely possible that the great American experiment in liberty is coming to an ignominious end because of the failure to take the forceful, even undemocratic, measures necessary to defend it.

  10. Ron Brown

Blood can be shed with sticks as well as bullets. My reply did not mention any shooting. With that disclaimer, Carl has many excellent points but, IMO, on a macro level. His is clearly the best way to go if we have 40 years to invest. We may not even have six months and if our society edges toward collapse after the election in November and the Muslims, as he points out, go on the offensive, what does Carl propose as a defense against a Muslim takeover of the US? Did I understand his concern correctly? Will Muslims invest 40 years of nonviolence to hasten their US goals? Defensive violence will not win this war as Carl points out and violence certainly is not the best option, but it is an option. We can choose not to be a victim on a micro level. If Mr Trump gets reelected in November, I would anticipate a lot of rioting, looting and more killings. Socialists have been very successful in achieving results beyond our/my wildest expectation with rioting and violence over the last three months. They are emboldened. These rioters are the people to challenge and they have not yet been challenged, even by the police in most cases. Seattle is an example and our society is truly on the defensive. Wars are not won buy winning the whole war as an entity but by winning individual battles. This is but one battle. And we don’t have 40 years if the left resorts to continued violence to further their agenda. Winning battles at this late stage just buys us time and hopefully impacts momentum in order to implement what Carl suggests if we have the will as a society. Wars are fought when dialogue fails and it appears that our conservative leadership hasn’t been dialoguing much or effectively. I am not a Hawk, nor am I a Dove. I have enjoyed my retirement and wish to continue peacefully in that endeavor. I don’t need or want any of this crap.

  11. Carl A Goldberg

Ron, I agree that we do not have anything like 40 years to turn this around. The more I become familiar with the situation, the more pessimistic I become that we cannot turn it around. Sticks and stones and even guns won’t help. Sure, we can go into the streets against the fascist thugs of Antifa, but they are not the main problem, so that countering them will not solve the problem which is that all of our cultural and political institutions have been infiltrated and subverted by the leftists who have no regard for the American spirit of freedom and liberty. They control the schools, the universities, the media and many of the churches and synagogues. They control the city councils and, therefore, the police departments. They control our informational space like Facebook, Google and the rest, so they can censor us out as they please. I don’t know how we can overcome this ideological rot which has metastasized throughout our society.

I have been enjoying my retirement, too, and I have been carrying on the ideological fight for preserving our freedoms as a matter of conscience. I don’t know what else to do.

  12. Ron Brown

Thanks, Carl. Enjoyed the dialogue, learned some things. One thing that you touched on that was very interesting was the Muslim connection, of which I had no idea, and would like to learn about. Henry has my phone number if this is best done over the phone. Please reach out. And this format is also an option.
